It's believed that blue lace agate has been used by indigenous people for centuries, but it's modern identification is attributed to a lapidary who unearthed this crystal in Namibia in the 1960's. It's found now all across the world, but is still most commonly mined in Namibia. Blue lace agate is a powerful gem and is sought after by many for it's various properties.
